"ConneQt IV" is the album recording from the final event of ContaQt's inaugural "Virtual ContaQt" hybrid performance series. The performance featured all-new collaborative compositions, and seamlessly blended the in-person musicianship of ContaQt members at Array Space in Toronto, with the virtual contributions of guest artists Yaz Lancaster in Brooklyn and Evan Ziporyn in Boston, along with further ContaQt members in London, Ontario and California. The result was a captivating, cross-continental musical dialogue that explored live, interconnected performance in the digital age. The real-time audio/video feed allowed the “virtual” musicians to interact and synchronize with their in-person counterparts. "ConneQt IV" is the third album released from this ongoing project that expands the possibilities of virtual collaborations in 21st century live performance.
